Credit Sdn Bhd

Wholly-owned subsidiary of Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Sarawak.

Established on 5th February, 1993 and was known as SP Pembangunan Sdn Bhd. On 22nd December, 1994, its name was changed to Mutiara Perumahan Sdn Bhd.

With the initiative of our present Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Abang Haji Openg, (former Minister of Housing, Sarawak), it was decided to set up the mortgage unit to finance the lower income group house ownership. Thus, the company’s name was changed to Mutiara Mortgage and Credit Sdn Bhd on 1st August, 2013. On 17th June, 2015, Mutiara Housing Loan Scheme was launched by the Minister of Housing Sarawak.

Mutiara also provides comprehensive Shariah compliance Islamic Home Financing Packages and has obtained Shariah Compliance Certification since 1st January 2021, with a profit rate as low as one percent (1%).
